Why I'm Running
Long Island deserves a champion.
On May 4th, 2017, Representative Peter King voted to repeal the Affordable Care Act, which would have immediately ripped healthcare away from 74,000 people in our district.
It was that day I decided to run for Congress.
I'm running for Congress because I believe healthcare is a human right. I'm running for Congress because there are too many barriers for women to succeed in this country. I'm running for Congress because our kids deserve to feel safe from gun violence. I'm running for Congress because working people across this country are hurting, while corporations and special interests rake in cash.
I'm running because, after 25 years, it's time to unseat Peter King this fall and replace him with a real champion for everyday Long Islanders. I want to be that champion.
